The Eye of the World journey map

On Winternight three groups flee Emond's Field together. They split at Shadar Logoth, cross Andor by different roads and meet again in Caemlyn.

Routes are approximate and follow the order of places in the book.

Rand and Mat

  1. Leave Emond's Field with Moiraine, Lan, Thom, Perrin and Egwene, crossing the Taren at Taren Ferry.
  2. Stop in Baerlon at the Stag and Lion, then flee east from the Whitecloaks.
  3. Hide in the ruins of Shadar Logoth, where the group is scattered.
  4. Escape down the Arinelle by boat with Thom to Whitebridge, where Thom stays behind to fight a Myrddraal.
  5. Walk the Caemlyn Road through Four Kings, dodging Darkfriends and Fades.
  6. Reach Caemlyn, where Rand meets Elayne and Queen Morgase.
  7. Take the Ways with everyone to Fal Dara, then enter the Blight to find the Eye of the World.

Perrin and Egwene

  1. Leave Emond's Field with the others and travel through Baerlon to Shadar Logoth.
  2. Cross the Arinelle alone after the group scatters and strike out across open country.
  3. Meet Elyas Machera, who introduces Perrin to the wolves, and travel for a time with the Tinkers.
  4. Are captured by the Whitecloaks and rescued by Moiraine, Lan and Nynaeve.
  5. Continue to Caemlyn and rejoin Rand and Mat.
  6. Take the Ways to Fal Dara and go into the Blight.

Moiraine, Lan and Nynaeve

  1. Nynaeve follows the group out of the Two Rivers and catches up with them before Baerlon.
  2. After Shadar Logoth, Moiraine, Lan and Nynaeve search for the scattered young people and reach Whitebridge.
  3. They track Perrin and Egwene and free them from the Whitecloaks.
  4. The reunited group travels to Caemlyn.
  5. Moiraine leads everyone through the Ways to Fal Dara and on to the Eye of the World.
