About Aiel Waste
The Aiel Waste, which the Aiel call the Three-fold Land, lies between the Spine of the World and the cliffs that border Shara. It is a land of rock, heat and scarce water, home to the Aiel clans and their holds, and to the hidden city of Rhuidean.
Outsiders rarely enter it and fewer return. The Shadow Rising and The Fires of Heaven take Rand, Mat, Egwene and Moiraine deep into the Waste.
