About Caemlyn
Caemlyn is the largest city in Andor, divided into the old Inner City, said to be partly built by Ogier, and the newer Outer City around it. The Royal Palace stands at the center and the banner of the White Lion flies over its walls. The city sits on the main roads of central Andor, linking Whitebridge in the west with the Erinin in the east.
Rand reaches Caemlyn in The Eye of the World, falls into the palace gardens and meets Elayne, Gawyn, Galad and Queen Morgase. The friends reunite at The Queen's Blessing inn, run by Basel Gill, before taking the Ways north.
Spoiler note: this guide mentions events up to The Eye of the World.
