Emond's Field

The largest village in the Two Rivers and home of Rand, Mat, Perrin, Egwene and Nynaeve. The story begins here on Winternight.

Where is Emond's Field?

Emond's Field lies south-east of Shadar Logoth, about 610 miles (980 km) away as the crow flies. It is part of Two Rivers.

About Emond's Field

Emond's Field sits in the Two Rivers, a remote farming district in the far west of Andor, close to the Mountains of Mist. Its inn, the Winespring Inn, is run by Bran al'Vere, Egwene's father and the village mayor.

In The Eye of the World, Trollocs attack the village on Winternight and Moiraine Damodred leads the young people away, first toward Baerlon. Long ago the land around Emond's Field was the heart of Manetheren, a nation destroyed in the Trolloc Wars, and the local people still carry its stubborn spirit.

Spoiler note: this guide mentions events up to The Eye of the World.
