About Tarwin's Gap

Tarwin's Gap is a long pass through the Mountains of Dhoom north of Shienar, the main route for Shadowspawn moving south out of the Blasted Lands. Shienaran fortresses such as Fal Dara exist largely to hold it.

At the end of The Eye of the World, Lord Agelmar leads Shienar's army to the Gap to meet a huge Trolloc host. The pass returns in later books whenever the Shadow tries to break south.

Spoiler note: this guide mentions events up to The Eye of the World.
