Shol Arbela is the capital of Arafel, which lies between Kandor and Shienar on the southern edge of the Blight. The Erinin runs along part of Arafel's southern border before turning south toward Tar Valon.
Arafellin warriors are known for carrying two swords, and the nation keeps the same hard Blight-watching traditions as its neighbours. Arafel is mentioned throughout the series, but its capital plays only a small part in the story.
